Comfort is the enemy of progress.

Here comes a rare introspective post for all of my intrepid readers…

Comfort, complacency, the illusion of control. All of these things breed reluctancy to move forward. All of these things are stagnant, and must not be tolerated if one is not completely satisfied with their progress, and for that matter, IMHO, one should never be satified with their progress. We have a limited time on terra firma to achieve what we are destined to accomplish. Those three states mentioned at the beginning of this post serve nothing but to detract one from their true purpose – to progress as an individual and as a spirit. So, then, rhetorically, I must ask – why do we seek comfort when we know that the comfort we seek means to stop moving forward with our personal evolution? Fear. Exhaustion. Laziness. Any of these, plus many more reasons can explain this motion. Ponder a bit. I'm sure I will tonight…
